NewsOctober 29, 2007: We received official confirmation from the Children's Cancer Foundation that they received our Family Fun magazine first prize award of $1,000 toward our cause, so we've added that to our star. September 2007: Family Fun Magazine (OCT 2007) in their annual Family Volunteerism issue, named the Passarellas of Swedesboro First-Prize winners and will give a $1,000 check to their chosen charity, the Children's Cancer Foundation. The Passarellas were recognized for organizing "a walk to support prediatric brain tumor research." January 2007: Tthe Fourth Annual Matthew's Miles Walkathon and Auction raised over $16,000 for pediatric brain tumor research by the Children's Cancer Foundation. November 2005: The Third Annual Matthew's Miles Walkathon and Auction raised $20,555 for brain tumor research by the Children's Cancer Foundation, for a three-year fundraiser total over $65,000. June 2005: The American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) establishes a two-year pediatric brain tumor research Fellowship in Matthew's name at Johns Hopkins Hospital, in appreciation of the money raised through two years of Matthew's Miles. September 2004: The Second Annual Matthew's Miles Walkathon and Auction raises over $25,000 for brain tumor research by the American Brain Tumor Association, for a two-year total over $45,000. September 2003: The First Annual Matthew's Miles Walkathon and Auction raises over $20,000 for brain tumor research by the American Brain Tumor Association.
